For businesses
Mandatory acquisition of an LEI code.
Legal entities trading on any of the organised markets in Croatia or abroad must, in accordance with the European MiFID II directive, obtain an LEI code.
What is a LEI code?
Unique global legal entity identifier.
LEI (Legal Entity Identifier) is a unique global identifier of legal entities, funds, and even sole traders. The aim is to make data available to regulators and agencies of EU member states in one place with this type of identifier.
The LEI code is a 20-digit code that a legal entity must obtain if it trades in securities abroad or in Croatia.
